About this plant
The Dracaena, also known as dragon plant, is a robust houseplant that can absolutely take a beating.
Our care tips
There are many Dracaena species and most are found in Africa, South Asia and Central America. The botanical name Dracaena is derived from the Greek 'drakaina', which means female dragon. This temperamental lady owes this name to the bright red resin, or dragon's blood, that some varieties produce. It could imply that she is difficult to tame, but nothing could be further from the truth. The Dracaena is satisfied with a light place, regular watering (but not too much; she does not like wet roots) and occasionally misting with a plant sprayer, for example.
