The Aloe Vera originates from the Middle East. This succulent or succulent is now widespread in the Caribbean, Central America and Asian countries. Due to the many properties of the juice, the plant is widely cultivated for drinks, wound medicine, sunscreen and cosmetics. The thick leaf grows from a base and is up to 60cm long. Small teeth are present on the edges of the pastel-colored green-grey leaves.

Our care tips

The Aloe Vera needs little water, because the plant can store the water in its gelatinous leaves. In the period between April and October, the plant needs a little water to prevent the root ball from drying out completely. In autumn and winter, this succulent plant prefers to be without water for weeks. You can place an Aloe Vera in a spot from half shade to full sun. The houseplant can tolerate direct sunlight. In a lighter location, the plant will grow faster, but also consume more water. Further from the window, the risk of rot increases.
